The dinner which closes this year’s Reinventing Space conference will host the 2018 Sir Arthur Clarke Awards.
The Sir Arthur Clarke Awards recognise and reward those individuals and teams that have made notable or outstanding achievements in, or contributions to, all British space activities. Better known as ‘The Arthurs’, they have been presented annually since 2005.
The eight awards this year will be presented at the Conference Dinner in the Bill Boeing Room at the Royal Aeronautical Society, 4 Hamilton Place, London, W1J 7BQ on Thursday 1 November.
Sir Arthur was not only a space pioneer and famed author but was one of the pioneers behind the world’s oldest space advocacy body – the British Interplanetary Society, organisers of Reinventing Space.
